Admissions Applications

Alamance Community School is now accepting applications for grades K-7 for our Admissions Lottery for 2024-25. (ACS will grow to K-8 in 2025-26!) Visit our website sections on "Our School" and "Admissions" for valuable information about ACS and the admissions process. Applications that were received by February 29 will be included in our Admissions Lottery on March 7. Applications received after this date will be added to our waitlist for 2024-25! Apply Today!

Alamance Community School is committed to helping students become engaged citizens by finding meaning in learning through exploring real-world problems and creating innovative and exciting solutions.

SCHOOL OVERVIEW

Alamance Community School (ACS) is a tuition-free NC Public Charter school in Alamance County, serving grades Kindergarden - 6th. We opened in August 2020 serving Kindergarten – Third Grade and will continue to add a grade level each year until reaching Eighth Grade in 2025.  ACS is a Project Based Learning (PBL) school offering a unique academic program that exemplifies the best in collaborative, real world learning, while preparing our students for the 21st Century.

  • Serving Kindergarten - 6th grade students in academic year 2023-24

  • Will add 7th grade in academic year 2024-25.

  • Class size:  approximately 20 students

  • School Hours: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 8:15 AM - 3:15 PM, Wednesdays 8:15 - 1:15

  • EVERY Wednesday will be a 2-hr early release day to allow time for staff professional development and planning to ensure that our teachers and staff continue to grow as educators and are life-long learners. Our After-Care provider will provide on-site, fee-based extended care for those who wish to use their services. After-care of early release days begins at the dismissal from our instructional day.
