Brianna Burrus is excited to join the 2nd grade team here at Alamance Community School!

She was born in Shelby, NC and raised in Winston-Salem where she attended elementary, middle, and high school. Her college journey began at Pitt Community College where she enrolled in the Pirate Promise program and earned an Associates in Arts Degree. Brianna transferred to ECU where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and is currently working on a Masters in Literacy and Reading. She is completing her first year of teaching at a charter school in Kinston, NC and has enjoyed all of the experiences and memories gained there, but she is excited to move closer to her family.

Ms. Burrus has two older sisters, Danielle and Calinda, and two nieces, Abby and Joy. One interesting fact about my oldest niece is that they share the same birthday, October 8. In her free time Brianna enjoys going on vacations with family and friends, reading, napping, and watching movies.

She cannot wait to meet everyone!
