Cindy Gittens was born and raised in Southwest Virginia. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from Radford University. Go Highlanders!! Cindy is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in Virginia and North Carolina.

Cindy has seventeen years of experience as a school social worker, working for both charter schools in North Carolina and a large public school system in Northern Virginia. She has also provided individual and group therapy to children and families in a private practice setting.

Cindy lives with her husband (Joe), daughter (Eleanor), son (Lucas) and chihuahua (Jerry). She enjoys spending time with family, baking, and attending community events. She is thrilled to be part of Alamance Community School.
