Lisa Fisher
EC Teacher
Lisa Fisher is excited to continue working as an Exceptional Children’s Teacher at Alamance Community School. She can't wait to learn with her students again this year.
She began working with Exceptional Children when she was a teenager by helping in an Elementary Exceptional Children's class during her High School Years. That experience began her lifelong love of teaching children and led her to get her Bachelor's degree in Special Education and her Master's degree in Early Childhood.
Mrs. Fisher has taught 2-year old children through Middle school-aged students, and she has taught as a General Education teacher as well as an Exceptional Children’s Teacher.
She loves helping students to get excited about learning...which is why she has taught for over 30 years! Helping students become better readers is her specialty.
She has three adult sons; 4 granddaughters, and 2 grandsons. She stays busy! If school is not in session, she is probably with her grandkids or in her RV at Hyco or Jordan Lake.
