Stephanie Nowell
Assistant Principal
Stephanie has been an educator for thirteen years as an elementary school classroom teacher in Guilford and Pamlico County, in addition to serving as an assistant principal in Pamlico County. Her journey has been marked by a series of leadership roles, including grade level chair, SIT chair, Teacher of the Year, and a member of the District Technology Committee. In 2021, she had the privilege of serving as a Learning Acceleration Coordinator at Pamlico County High School, where she collaborated with the school’s admin team and other leaders to bridge the educational/SEL gap caused by the pandemic. In January 2022, she took on the role of assistant principal at Pamlico County Middle School.
Stephanie has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics from Elizabeth City State University and a Master’s of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University. In 2022, she was honored with a superintendent nomination to participate in East Carolina University’s Principal Fellows Program, Pirate Leadership Academy, where in May, 2024, she earned a second Master’s degree in School Administration.
Stephanie, her husband, daughter, and dog will relocate to Mebane, NC, this summer and she is very excited to join the ACS community!
