MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear ACS Families & Staff,
As you can imagine, ACS is bubbling with energy and excitement as we wrap up 2023 and prepare for Winter Break! Be sure to read through the entire newsletter for updates and reminders and enjoy the highlights from the week below.
This week, some of our students learned to code using Lego Robotics, discovered Newton's Laws through a variety of hands-on activities (spinning eggs, snowball launchers, and balloon cars), and explored holiday traditions around the world.
Our Interventionists and EL (English Learner) teachers hosted a virtual Literacy and Math Family Night! Thanks to those who attended. We will share the resources with everyone soon so that even if you couldn't attend, you can discover ways to help your child at home.
Staff began preparations for the big move to the cottage! Remember that we release at 11:45 on Tuesday. We will see students back on campus on January 3rd.
As always, your support and engagement are invaluable to our school community. If you have any questions or need further information, feel free to reach out.
Wishing you a warm and wonderful break filled with joy, laughter, and special moments with your loved ones!
Best,
Jamie Miller, Principal

THE GIVING TREE
Thank you again for your kindness and generosity in helping with The Giving Tree!
PTO NEWS
Big thanks to all who came out for our December Zaxby's Night last week, earning the PTO $320 in the process!
Without a competition to determine the Zaxby's catered lunch winner, we elected to use this month's lunch to treat our incredible Specials Team. Now that we are finally gearing up to move into the new building, we wanted to celebrate the patience and flexibility of our Specials teachers during this extended transition period as they've given up their classrooms, taught from carts, and maintained so much positivity and fun in their lessons. Thank you, Specials Teachers!
Monday, December 18th from 6:00-8:00pm will be our December Skate Night at RollABout Skating Center. Don't miss your friends all Winter Break, join us to warm up and boogie down! $5.00 per person, and the PTO will earn 50% of all entrance fees collected! We hope to see you there!
